Truck drivers are some of the toughest people on the road, but even the toughest can carry a load that no one else can see. Long hours, endless kilometres, time away from family, financial pressure, fatigue and isolation can take a serious toll on mental health. Too many drivers feel like they have to stay quiet, tough it out and keep the wheels turning—but speaking up doesn’t make you weak. Sometimes the heaviest load isn’t on the trailer. Check in on your mates, make the call, have the conversation, and remember: it’s okay to pull up when you’re overloaded.
I have created the Facebook page "Trucked in the Head" to spread awareness about mental health, both myself & MC Apparel have cut our profits down on these to keep them affordable ad help get the message out there.
