A Better Way to Bring People Into the Transport Industry

Getting people into the transport and logistics industry — and keeping them there — starts with doing things differently.
Too often, it’s a licence and a “good luck.” No real understanding of the job, no proper assessment, and no support. That’s where things fall apart — for both the driver and the employer.
That’s exactly what this plan is designed to change — email learn@dynamictruckschool.com.au or contact Ash 0466 666 935 if you’re interested in participating in this program.
This is a new approach.
A structured pathway that introduces people to the industry the right way, builds real capability, and gives employers confidence in who they’re putting behind the wheel.
Eligibility Requirements
To ensure candidates are on the right pathway from the start, the following eligibility criteria apply:
HR Licence Pathway:
Candidates must have held their car (C class) licence for a minimum of 2 years.
HC Licence Pathway:
Candidates must have held a MR or HR licence for at least 12 months.

It Starts Before They’re Hired
You still begin with your usual process — interview the candidate, review their resume, and check their driving history.
But instead of making a decision based on paper alone, the next step is simple and powerful:
Have them spend a couple of hours with one of your drivers.
Let them see the job for what it actually is — the pace, the responsibility, the real day-to-day. It sets expectations early and filters out anyone who isn’t the right fit before you’ve invested further.
Then Comes a Professional Assessment
From there, I step in.
I’ll take them out in my truck — or yours — for a structured assessment drive. This isn’t guesswork or a quick spin around the block. It’s a proper evaluation of their skills, awareness, and readiness for the road.
After the drive, you’ll receive a clear report outlining:
Whether they are safe and competent
Whether they’re close to test standard
Or if they need around 4–6 hours of targeted training to get there
No grey areas. No assumptions.
You Decide — With Real Information
At that point, the decision is yours.
If you choose to bring them on, I can organise any required training and book their test, ensuring they’re fully prepared before they start operating within your business.
The result? Drivers who are ready from day one — not learning the hard way on your time, your equipment, and your risk.
Setting Them Up Properly From Day One
We can also take it a step further with intake training, including:
Chain of Responsibility
Work Diary
Fatigue Management
This means your new drivers understand compliance, responsibility, and expectations from the start — not after something goes wrong.
Why This Works
This isn’t just about getting people licensed.
It’s about:
Creating a clear pathway into the industry
Building safer, more capable drivers
Improving long-term retention
When people are introduced to the job properly and supported from the beginning, they’re far more likely to succeed — and stay.
